Through multiple factors, there's been an explosion of Pinion-Juniper and it's taking a toll on the native grass species that deer, elk, and antelope depend on. Arizona Game and Fish along with other NGO's are working collaboratively to restore 50,000 acres of grassland habitat. Folks often ask us how Randy got started in public land hunting. In this video, Randy shares the beginnings of his interest in public land hunting and conservation. For Randy, it all started with a love for outdoor pursuits growing up and hearing about the fresh air and open spaces of the vast Western US. After his wife declared they were moving to better hunting and fishing, Randy fell in love with the wild things and wild places of Montana. A desire to conserve these places led to his work with many non-profit organizations in and around Montana. The public land hunter was not well-represented in hunting media, however. With his son Matthew and a friend in TV production, Randy started a public land hunting show called On Your Own Adventures.
